Northern Alberta and Wood Buffalo

 

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is the second largest municipality in Alberta by area.The Municipality (whose Fort McMurray is the heart) is best known for its vast oil sand deposits, the Athabasca Oil Sands which have controversial reputation

 

Beyond this oil industry, there is still a wild and natural beauty. Through my photographs I would like to give an other view of this region that people don’t always take the time to appreciate.

I hope this will help create interest in protecting it.
