Welcome to my new gallery !

I am a Field Wildlife Biologist specialized in wildlife monitoring, inventory, behavioural surveys and the preservation of species. I like to study animals and other wildlife in their natural environment and how they interact with their ecosystems. I have been particularly concerned with conservation issues especially where human activities interact with wildlife and alter their habitat.

I have worked on many projects in different countries (Africa, America, Europe..), ranging from amphibians to apes. I have worked and lived in remote places from the desert to the rainforest, the mountain to the sea.

I spent invaluable hours and a tremendous amount of time in the field, witnessing the beauty of nature in isolated places where few human beings ever been.

But something was missing: how to share all these amazing encounters and experiences once back in “civilization” ? Sometimes words are not enough...

A few years ago, I decided to invest in a camera. Photography turned to be the best way to document and describe my experiences and travels. My camera became my best friend, always with me, ready to immortalize any rare events I will witness, like this once-in-a-life encounter with a group of wild and curious lowland gorillas in the deep rainforest of Gabon.

Photography became a passion and I spend a lot of time outside photographing birds and landscapes wherever I go. I always put the welfare of animals and the respect of environment above anything, staying far from my subject and moving very slowly to avoid any disturbance.

My photographs are more realistic and documentary than artistic.

They illustrate the diversity of places and wildlife I was lucky to encounter.

Some of my pictures have been published in books and magasines for the rarity of the subject presented.

I currently live in Calgary, Alberta
